As with every holiday, the family will be getting together. This year, we're going to my brother-in-law's brother's house, and he always has a HUGE spread of food, so I'll have to get my hands on a pair of pants with an elastic waist...lol.

I ended up eating at the local Golden Corral resturant this year.
15 dollar meal that wasn't that bad for the first time going to the place for Thanksgiving.
I usually went to the resturant named Golden Fork till I found out they shut down last year.
Hope anyone else didn't find out that "the turkey can be at either end of the gun" that a famous Turkey Hunter always says. LOL

This was the 1st Thanksgiving in about 6 years, where I didn't have to go to work. I work in a social club, which is bar & restaurant. We do a buffet for holidays like Thanksgiving, Easter & Mother's Day. We didn't have alot of reservations, so my boss said I could be off. This year was also the 1 year anniversary of my gall bladder attack. I had it a week before Thanksgiving last year. Due to the holiday being the following week, my doctor suggested I wait until the week after Thanksgiving to have my surgery. That led to a "no fat, no meat, no dairy" diet, which absolutely stunk, especially with Thanksgiving coming up. I'll admit I cheated on the diet, but I didn't eat as much. I limited my self to 1 turkey serving at dinner last year, after work of course. This year, I had 3 servings of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, noodles & corn Yup, I made up for it every day, until the leftovers were gone.

I wound up staying home, by myself this year. My Uncle is in the hospital/physical therapy center after taking a fall and having a minor brain bleed. So most of the family went up to visit him. I couldn't swing the trip, but did call and talk to him. We did the "big" dinner on Saturday night at my aunt's house. Did some yard work on the actual day
