As I'm sure most of you saw, our fearless leader had a prominent role on the 12/2 Impact, getting involved in the Jay Lethal/Robbie E. backstage fight by getting into a physical confrontation with Cookie. She also did a pretty intense promo on ReAction afterwards in which she points out that she's the only one of the original Knockouts still in TNA from when the Knockout's division first started. Cookie said she wanted five minutes with Christy, and Christy responded by saying she won't even need five minutes...she could take out Cookie in one minute (she even dropped an F-bomb!). For those of you who saw it, let's get some feedback. We're obviously all happy to see her in such a key role, but where would you like to see it go from here? Given TNA's recent preference for "shoot" style interviews involving just a camera and no on-screen interviewer, do you think this may be a precursor to Christy getting a new role in TNA? Perhaps getting more physically involved in things again?
Personally, I'd be a bit worried if she were to get too physically active again, given her history of neck issues, so if she does have her "five minutes" with Cookie, here's hoping it's nothing too risky. But I'd love to see her get a manager-type role again, like when she was with the RnR Infection.

Well I'm glad that TNA has decided to use Christy Hemme for something else other than backstage interviewing.
Personally I don't mind seeing Christy Hemme get into physical confrontation at all regardless of what condition her neck is in.
I actually hope Christy Hemme DOES get a new role in TNA. Because the only downside of her backstage interviewing, is because she doesn't get a lot of screen time. (Plus, I do tend to get upset whenever a heel TNA Wrestler/Knockout decides to spend a part of her screentime insulting her for no reason whatsoever)
As for where this story is going, I hope that this could lead into a feud with both Christy Hemme and Cookie.
Judging by the ReAction promo that Christy Hemme did with Cookie, I somehow intepretate Christy's words as if Christy Hemme might actually "return to the ring" again. (Personally I hope so, but I'm not holding my breath)
For those on this thread who question my beliefs that Christy might return to wrestling, I am aware that Christy herself did state on an RHS podcast that she is done wrestling, but you also have to be aware of this: -
"Anything" can happen in wrestling. (Shawn Micheals, at one point, made a return to the ring after recovering from a "broken back"!!!)
As for Joey B's concerns regarding Christy's neck, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin had suffered a serious neck injury himself after receiving a "botched" Piledriver from Bret "Hit Man" Hart. And the doctors stated that Steve would never wrestle again.
And yet, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin managed to wrestle again for several more years by "altering" his wrestling style (... something like that ...).
If Christy Hemme "were" to wrestle again, she can just do the same thing Steve Austin did long ago.
Anyway, I'm just glad that Christy has gotten pushed into a key role.

Well I think that it could lead to a mini Christy comeback to the ring to face cookie in a one on one match but seeing as how TNA doesn't acknowledge that Cookie is a wrestler in the independents, I don't see a really physical knockouts match like we would see with the other knockouts on the roster. But maybe this would be kind of a farewell match with Christy since she really didn't have one last year.

This was very exciting! ;D I can't wait to see how it plays out. I really don't see her doing anything too risky given her neck issues. I'm sure she knows her limits. But wow, that was really awesome seeing her getting physical like that! Crap, I missed her on Reaction! I dozed off. I'll have to try and hunt down a vid of it.

Here is a Link to her segment on Reaction that starts at 2:46 (right after the Bubba and DeVon segment) www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEKE5zbVGo0If it is a way for the "Fearless Leader" to help with the story, I'm all for it for her to get some sort of respect out of "Cookie". I wonder if the injury has healed enough to make a quick appearence again? Looks like we need anyone in Miami that's a member to show a banner of support if it becomes an added match to the PPV with Lethal and Robbie E. But as TheDakotan might comment on this.......... "ALL HAIL THE FEARLESS LEADER!" ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Thanks for the link!
She was great in that promo and it was so true what she said about how she was one of the first knockouts before TNA even had an active women's division. I love seeing this side of her! I have to also give credit to Cookie. She plays that abnoxious, Jersey Shore character so well! This is looking really good so far.

It was great seeing big red, especially when she was dishing out the smackdown. Her promo was very good. Hmmm...it makes you wonder what might happen at Final Resolution.

I'm guessing this will be a quick "brawl" between the two of them to help put the x-division title match. Anything Christy does will be great.
@the Dakotan If i remember correctly, Christy didn't retire from active wrestling because of the injury but because she felt uncomfortable, like that she would get hurt again.

I was surprised to see Christy get involved in a psychical altercation on Thursday. I think they could carry a bit with feud between Christy and Cookie. I don't think Cookie that seasoned of performer, so there wouldn't be anything too technical going down in a fight or match, so neither of them could get hurt.

to deadman: I too thought she announced that she wanted to step away from ring action incase of her neck being injured after that 6-man matchup. I might be wrong also. TheDakotan was pondering on a comeback to the squared circle and this was a plan to team with Lethal by storyline........... TheDakotan will still ponder til next posting.

As much as I would personally love to see Christy return to the ring, even if it would be for one match, I hope it's something that she really wants to do and isn't being told by the writers or whoever that she should.
