Seeing Christy get physically involved with Cookie on Impact has me looking forward to where this goes. We've discussed on here if she would wrestle 1 more match or maybe is looking to getting back into a more active role. When Christy first announced her retirement, it was shortly after the 6 Knockouts match on Impact where Christy was chokeslammed by Lacey Von Erich and pinned. Recently, Lacey was released & now Christy gets into a physical altercation with another Knockout. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not. I'm just thinking that maybe Christy didn't feel 100% safe with a very little trained Lacey & didn't want to risk another injury. She may feel safer and more confident with the other Knockouts that TNA has, as they are all well trained. Velvet, Angelina, Daffney, Tara, Mickie, Madison, Winter (Katie Lea Burchill), Cookie (indie star Becky Bayless) are all top notch wrestlers in their own rights. Granted Miss Tessmacher is under contract, but I honestly don't think it will be for long, unless they keep her on as a manager. This is just a thought and I'm curious to see what everyone else thinks.

Personally, I don't think the presence of one inexperienced Knockout would have prevented Christy from wrestling if she thought she was able to, especially given how much she enjoyed competing. There were (and, as you said, still are) numerous women in the Knockouts division that Christy could have been in the ring with that would have posed much less risk than being in the ring with Lacey. I truly think that she was not in the right place mentally because of her past neck injury, and it prevented her from competing the way she wanted to, which is why she decided to step away. But perhaps with the passage of time, she's feeling up to giving it a shot again. Then again, we haven't seen much between Christy and Cookie since their altercation, so who knows how far this will go?

I read spoilers for an upcoming Impact & something will be going down either this week or next I believe, as far as Christy & Cookie go. And I agree with you 100% Joey. I personally don't believe 1 Knockout would've stopped Christy from competing, but that crossed my mind the other day. It just seemed like a pretty good coincidence.

I agree with Joey here...i think Christy just wasn't mentally in the game and didnt feel comfortable in the ring at the time(as happens with a lot of wrestlers who just come off a serious injury) and mabye as time has went by she has gotten mentally stronger on the subject of getting more active again!
Or...mabye she was feeling underused lately with TNA taking the new direction of just having wrestlers talk into the camera rather than doing interviews...so mabye she decided to stick her feet back in the water so to speak and see how it goes as far as her being comfortable being active again!

That is a good point there Richie. Speaking of her possibly returning to the ring, I've also managed to send a message or two on Jeremy Borash, Tara and Eric Bischoff on their respective Twitter accounts, asking them if the fact that Christy is making an in-ring return really true. So far I haven't got an answer from either one of them, but knowing that they receive a lot of messages from other people following their tweets. It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't get to read it at all.
